Frequently Asked Questions for Video Conference

Check to make sure you have the following and that they are working properly:

• camera
• microphone
• speakers

Try the following:

• check if there are pop-ups preventing the EverLeagues meeting URL from opening
• update your browser
• check if your system resources such as CPU and memory are running at a high percentage
• check if there are running browser sessions using up a lot of resources

Try the following:

• check if your device has a camera
• grant permissions for camera in your browser
• check if there are any other running applications using your camera

Try the following:

• check if your device has a microphone
• re-plug in and connect your microphone
• check if your microphone is muted or if the volume is too low
• select your microphone within the EverLeagues conference
• enable your microphone on your device

If you can’t hear other people, check the following:

• re-plug and connect your wired-based external audio device
• re-connect your wireless audio device
• check if your device has a built-in speaker
• check if your audio is muted on your device

If you’re hearing echos, try the following:

• identify the source: if you’re only one experiencing the issue, or if everyone else except you is experiencing the issue, then it’s your issue; otherwise it’s likely someone else’s issue
• re-plug in your wired microphone
• adjust your microphone’s position
• lower the volume of your built-in speaker
• check sources of loud background noise

Here’s how to share your screen:

Hover your mouse on the bottom portion of the video conference. A black menu bar will appear – click the third button from the left, then select the screen or window you want to share.
